In the 8th minute, Cipriano Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Cristian Sandalio. C.A. Mens Sana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 13 minutes of play, Azcuénaga AFC's Albano Quintyn made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Sandalio was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Jimeno Gomesano came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the C.A. Mens Sana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Gomesano couldn't finish the play. If Cipriano Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Albano Quintyn put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Cristian Sandalio. Cristian Sandalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albano Quintyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Azcuénaga AFC's Albano Quintyn got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Albano Quintyn came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Azcuénaga AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Quintyn couldn't finish the play. When Teodosio Etxeberri fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Mens Sana's protests and gave Teodosio Etxeberri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Albano Quintyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dionisio Lizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albano Quintyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albano Quintyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sandalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Lamela in the 44th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Azcuénaga AFC's Dionisio Lizer got a free kick in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albano Quintyn to make the kick off. Jimeno Gomesano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Loiola having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Albano Quintyn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Azcuénaga AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Cristian Sandalio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albano Quintyn in the 57th minute. Albano Quintyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Cristian Sandalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dionisio Lizer might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Sandalio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dionisio Lizer ran back to his position shaking his head. If Horacio Savier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Cristian Sandalio managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Azcuénaga AFC's Albano Quintyn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, C.A. Mens Sana's Teodosio Etxeberri got a free kick in the 75th minute. Dionisio Lizer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Sandalio having to interfere. Albano Quintyn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Sandalio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Albano Quintyn sped through C.A. Mens Sana's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristian Sandalio. Horacio Savier struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Joel Loiola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Mens Sana. Uriel Txindoki was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Azcuénaga AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Albano Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sandalio made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Albano Quintyn sent off a good shot on target.
