Gavino Beliran hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Astor Presebal in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino Rioja saved Casillas from getting behind. Aaron Vedillo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 7 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Laferrere fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Casillas a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Francisco Enetz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Laferrere's Fermin Enekoitz. 1-0. Cosme Corderro kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Laferrere's Fermin Enekoitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Laferrere from getting a goal against them. Marco Izel made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Casillas's Fabrizio Galliani. Cosme Corderro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Fermin Enekoitz made a huge save. The supporters of Laferrere booed when Casillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Corderro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Rioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Dwyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the game, John Arenius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Severino Rioja was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Casimiro Giro's late challenge caught a Laferrere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Casimiro Giro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Laferrere booed when Casillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Giro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Cosme Corderro made the kick off in the second half. Nereo Truylos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Rioja having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Hermengildo Gaufred in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Casillas's Fabrizio Galliani. In the 62nd play minute John Arenius came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Severino Rioja. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Casillas's zone, John Arenius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Rioja came out of the goal and John Arenius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nereo Truylos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Severino Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play Casillas's Casimiro Giro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Laferrere booed when Casillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Giro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laferrere's John Arenius got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Laferrere's Duda Simão got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Fermin Enekoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosme Corderro in the 94th minute of play. Laferrere's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
