With an all-out effort, Pedernera's Siro Garcia threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximino Moise, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Leoncio in the 96th minute of play forced Pedernera's goalkeeper Alvaro Emesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
