After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Silvio Goizeder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Godoy Cruz's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Goizeder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nunez Urbez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Generoso Foro kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Apolo Locaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Urbez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Andres Fidencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nunez Urbez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Locaio in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
