But to his dismay, Genaro Emeterio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Aurelio Berart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Lázaro Colon made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

A collision led to Laferrere getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Romeo Romelio hit a great ball. Lázaro Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Berart, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Lázaro Colon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Berart in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Aurelio Berart left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Barro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Lázaro Colon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Berart in the 67th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Eloy Opilano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laferrere's Lázaro Colon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Luciano Mikeldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Eloy Opilano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Genaro Emeterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laferrere succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Deportivo Barro had controlled the match.
