Nicanor Firmin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 21 minutes, Jeremias Herauso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club De Benavidez and the Nacional de Buenos Aires players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Amadeo Goito sped through Racing Club De Benavidez's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eliseo Laurentzi. Silvano Erramun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Nicanor Firmin made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Nacional de Buenos Aires's Nicanor Firmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Urki in the 72nd minute of play. Nicanor Firmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Urki in the 75th minute of play. Javier Esiquio kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Amadeo Goito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Laurentzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Racing Club De Benavidez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Erramun to maneuver through the defense.
