If Vladimir Gjermandsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Casbas getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Vladimir Gjermandsen hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Eliseo Geofredo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnulfo Donostia, 2-0. Eliseo Geofredo came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnulfo Donostia could save by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 86th minute, Segundo Ondino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Alajuelence AR's Ovidio Giraldo got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 91 played minutes Casbas got a freekick which was hit by Mümtazer Toydemir. In the 94th minute, Segundo Ondino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Casbas fully deserved thier win.
