Gregorio Platon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Codrea in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Baltasar Sotero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ogilvie's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltasar Sotero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barry Lammers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ísmael Matafonov got free with Barry Lammers in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 14 minutes, Ciriaco Iruinea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Boca Juniors and the Ogilvie players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Pueblo in the 17th minute of play forced Ogilvie's goalkeeper Gregorio Platon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ogilvie's Fausto Ibañez suffered a concussion in the 20th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 20 minutes, Elvio Argenis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Boca Juniors and the Ogilvie players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ogilvie's Haroldo Fortun was substituted for Fausto Ibañez. After a rather tough play, C. A. Boca Juniors's Elvio Argenis got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Boca Juniors's zone, Baltasar Sotero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barry Lammers came out of the goal and Baltasar Sotero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, C. A. Boca Juniors's Benedicto Cesaro got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Baltasar Sotero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ogilvie's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltasar Sotero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barry Lammers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 33 minutes, Severiano Castulo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ogilvie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Castulo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barry Lammers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Castulo in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Juan Handi notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ogilvie's Gregorio Platon. Gregorio Platon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Severiano Castulo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ogilvie's supporters rose to their feet, but Severiano Castulo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barry Lammers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baltasar Sotero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 48 minutes, Severiano Castulo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ogilvie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Castulo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severino Pueblo made a kick off. Gregorio Platon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Pueblo in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute Severino Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Platon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Ciriaco Iruinea took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Gregorio Platon to make any attempt to save it. 64 minutes into the match, Ogilvie's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Iruinea came free, but Gregorio Platon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Arturo Loco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ogilvie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Boca Juniors the free kick. Arturo Loco kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Juan Handi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Ogilvie's Gregorio Platon got control of the ball when Lucian Codrea tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, C. A. Boca Juniors's Benedicto Cesaro got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Ogilvie's Severiano Castulo got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severiano Castulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Lammers having to interfere. Baltasar Sotero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to C. A. Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Simon Francesco hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ogilvie's Leo Palben tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Pueblo in the 84th minute of play forced Ogilvie's goalkeeper Gregorio Platon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to C. A. Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bernardino Orlandus hit a great ball. Ogilvie's Leo Palben got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, C. A. Boca Juniors's Lucian Codrea got a free kick in the 91st minute. After 94 played minutes Ogilvie got a freekick which was hit by Leo Palben. In the 95th minute of the match Bernardino Orlandus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Platon skillfully saved the ball. Severiano Castulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ogilvie were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
