After a rather tough play, Diabara FC's Leonel Jaunzuria got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Diabara FC's zone, Juan Donzel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Efren came out of the goal and Juan Donzel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Leonel Jaunzuria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Diabara FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Sotero. In the 11th minute, David Sotil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Diabara FC booed when Momias FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Geleberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amado Atarratze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Sotero, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulino Geleberto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Florentino Efren. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. When Joaquin Mikelats fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diabara FC's protests and gave Joaquin Mikelats a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Joaquin Mikelats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Donzel in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Efren saved Diabara FC from getting behind. David Sotil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Florentino Efren made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulino Geleberto during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juan Donzel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Efren having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquin Mikelats was the one to do the kick off. When David Sotil came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Momias FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Sotil couldn't finish the play. Leonel Jaunzuria charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Jaunzuria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Florentino Efren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Donzel in the 57th minute of the match. Paulino Geleberto hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Juan Donzel struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Florentino Efren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Momias FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Donzel in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Efren saved Diabara FC from getting behind. When Momias FC's Juan Donzel, in the 71st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Momias FC. David Sotil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Florentino Efren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florentino Efren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Donzel's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After having played for 92 minutes, David Sotil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Momias FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Sotil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Quintana in the 94th minute of play forced Diabara FC's goalkeeper Florentino Efren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
