An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Obeko in the 16th minute of play forced Mataderos Fc.'s goalkeeper Ramon Otsando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Garaile could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ramon Otsando made a huge save. After 21 played minutes Mataderos Fc. got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Gudesteo. Ramon Otsando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Obeko in the 24th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Mataderos Fc.'s Serafino Miro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernabe Bernal was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the match, Serafino Miro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernabe Bernal. Juventud Las Piedras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serafino Miro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Gilberto Gudesteo charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Gudesteo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Gilberto Gudesteo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mataderos Fc.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Iker Garaile scored to the left of an out of position Ramon Otsando, making the score, 3-2. In the 44th minute, Juventud Las Piedras's Albino Marin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ramon Otsando. Ramon Otsando yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucio Aragones to make the kick off. Mataderos Fc.'s supporters stood up full of expectation in the 55th minute of the game, when Justo Berdoi after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Juventud Las Piedras's goal. Justo Berdoi was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Edgardo Txaran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ramon Otsando. Mataderos Fc.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ramon Otsando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Marin in the 61st minute of play. Lucio Aragones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernabe Bernal having to make a save. Mataderos Fc.'s Ramon Otsando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Marin in the 71st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Albino Marin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramon Otsando was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. When Juventud Las Piedras's Albino Marin in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mataderos Fc.'s goalie prevented a goal.
