Porvenir's Dante Fanuco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Porvenir from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute of the match, Horacio Sazon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Fanuco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Roque Ondino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Argider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Goiz having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Rene Dorio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ceibal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Dorio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Argider stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Cosme Lizbeth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Fanuco. Porvenir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cosme Lizbeth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Sazon in the 58th minute of play forced Porvenir's goalkeeper Dante Fanuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 minutes, Arnoldo Lixandro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porvenir and the Ceibal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Porvenir got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Lixandro. In the 81st minute, Horacio Sazon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ceibal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Dante Fanuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Lizbeth in the 85th minute of the match. When Ceibal FC's Cosme Lizbeth in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Porvenir's goalie prevented a goal. Denis Argider recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abelardo Goiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Argider, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Many of Porvenir's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Porvenir may have spent more time on the ball, but Ceibal FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
