When Israel Pelayo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Pelayo couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo da Fonseca in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaias Benino saved Poblet FC from getting behind. Anselmo da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ēriks Zaļakmens to strike the kick off in the second half. Anselmo da Fonsecas short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Isaias Benino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
