Lucas Ishmael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Conrao having to interfere. Ivan Casomiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Leopoldo Conrao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Lucas Ishmael had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Conrao. Matancilla FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Ishmael was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Casomiro in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Conrao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leopoldo Conrao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Casomiro in the 20th minute of play. Ivan Casomiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucio Martinez during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lucio Martinez hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Lucas Ishmael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th match minute, Matancilla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Paul to maneuver through the defense. Santos Paul hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Xanti Guillamas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Casomiro in the 33rd minute of play forced Matancilla FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Conrao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebio Lauro went to the wrong direction when Lucio Martinez was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Leopoldo Conrao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Ishmael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matancilla FC's Leopoldo Conrao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Ishmael in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half HELLFIRE were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 51 played minutes Matancilla FC got a freekick which was hit by Santos Paul. After 53 played minutes Matancilla FC got a freekick which was hit by Santos Paul. 57 minutes into the match, Matancilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Ishmael came free, but Leopoldo Conrao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. HELLFIRE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Ishmael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. HELLFIRE's Amador Veronica got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Ishmael in the 70th minute of play forced Matancilla FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Conrao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Fonda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matancilla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HELLFIRE the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Matancilla FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! Leopoldo Conrao went to the wrong direction when Xanti Guillamas was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Matancilla FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Conrao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Casomiro. If Ivan Casomiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Matancilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Ishmael came free, but Leopoldo Conrao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matancilla FC's Lucio Martinez got his second yellow card of the match in the 86th minute. The referee ordered Lucio Martinez off the ground. The supporters of HELLFIRE booed when Matancilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, HELLFIRE's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Aureo came free, but Eusebio Lauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lucas Ishmael came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the HELLFIRE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Ishmael couldn't finish the play. HELLFIRE played a much better game than Matancilla FC and deserved their victory. The Matancilla FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
