Anselmo Emenon's late challenge caught a Las Brotolas F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Emenon helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Lizer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severiano Hibai was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Severiano Hibai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Americo Abadia, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gustavo Regis took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severiano Hibai. Severiano Hibai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Anselmo Emenon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Luciano Ixona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute Gustavo Regis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Hibai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anselmo Emenon came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Juventud de Pergamino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Emenon couldn't finish the play. If Walmyr Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After having played for 53 minutes, Anselmo Emenon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventud de Pergamino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Emenon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anselmo Emenon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justino Quinto made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Juventud de Pergamino's Hipolito Laurin. When Teofilo Acevedo fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Las Brotolas F.C.'s protests and gave Teofilo Acevedo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Las Brotolas F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Teofilo Acevedo hit a great ball. Severiano Hibai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Regis in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Gustavo Regis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventud de Pergamino's Severiano Hibai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Severiano Hibai made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Benigno Bras sent off a good shot on target. Luciano Tavio hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Anselmo Emenon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Ixona having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Emenon in the 76th minute of play forced Las Brotolas F.C.'s goalkeeper Luciano Ixona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Ixona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Emenon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute of the match Juventud de Pergamino got a corner. Las Brotolas F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anselmo Emenon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Damaso Javiero was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Walmyr Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes Las Brotolas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Americo Abadia. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Juventud de Pergamino lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
