Spectators: 7074 (Terracing: 5307, Seating: 1627, VIP seats: 140) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Celedonio Oier took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Celedonio Oier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nelsond FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Oier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Romo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severo Michael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 15 minutes, Celedonio Oier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nelsond FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Oier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Romo made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Efrain Soin sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Atlas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Etor came free, but Gilberto Romo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gogo Michael came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Atlas F.C's Justino Cordarin. But to his dismay, Justino Cordarin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Severo Michael's late challenge caught a Nelsond FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severo Michael helped the player get up and apologised. 28 minutes into the match, Severo Michael had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gogo Michael. Nelsond FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severo Michael was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Celedonio Oier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gilberto Romo came out and tried to block the shot, but Celedonio Oier slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 32nd minute. After 37 minutes of play, Atlas F.C's Severo Michael made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gogo Michael was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severo Michael in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gogo Michael saved Nelsond FC from getting behind. After having played for 42 minutes, Alberto Tiadoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlas F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tiadoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atlas F.C's Severo Michael got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gogo Michael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severo Michael to strike the kick off in the second half. If Severo Michael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Nelsond FC booed when Atlas F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Salvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Dante Espiridion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Michael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nelsond FC's zone, Severo Michael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gogo Michael came out of the goal and Severo Michael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gogo Michael was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Severo Michael showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 64 minute of play. Erasmo Abadie hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Alberto Tiadoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlas F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tiadoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severo Michael's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gogo Michael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After 72 minutes of play Atlas F.C's Severo Michael was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Alberto Tiadoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Michael having to interfere. Gogo Michael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dante Espiridion in the 77th minute. If Dante Espiridion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, Atlas F.C's Alberto Tiadoro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gogo Michael made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Justino Cordarin took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gogo Michael. Gogo Michael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Alberto Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gogo Michael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tiadoro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Gogo Michael made a huge save. Gilberto Romo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Oier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Nelsond FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atlas F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
