The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciriaco Azeari got free with Ceferino Lluques in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Rey in the 35th minute of play forced Arsenal de Laboulaye's goalkeeper Ceferino Lluques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Eguerdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Benvide, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquilino Rey was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of La Bruja:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Arsenal de Laboulaye:s goal. After 58 minutes, Felix Asteri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal de Laboulaye and the La Bruja players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Arsenal de Laboulaye's Felix Asteri got a free kick in the 58th minute. Narciso Vergaray hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Arsenal de Laboulaye's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Azeari came free, but Ceferino Lluques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, La Bruja's Santiago Chago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After a defensive mix-up in La Bruja's zone, Celedonio Faro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gervasio Eguerdi came out of the goal and Celedonio Faro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
