Adoquines de Banfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campanas FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Adoquines de Banfield's Vladimiro George got a free kick in the 19th minute. Victorino Tauro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gualterio Estevez in the 20th minute. In the 21st match minute, Campanas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Rey to maneuver through the defense. Vladimiro George got his second yellow card in the match during the 22nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Vladimiro George hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Campanas FC's Juan Gau got a free kick in the 26th minute. Campanas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Adoquines de Banfield the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualterio Estevez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Campanas FC's Tadeo Bras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victorino Tauro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Paolo Lorencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Campanas FC's goalkeeper Godofredo Izotz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paolo Lorencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Paolo Lorencio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Godofredo Izotz. That made the score 1-2 in the 60 minute of play. Victorino Tauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Bras in the 63rd minute of play. Godofredo Izotz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paolo Lorencio's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 70th minute, Camilo Rayman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 minutes of play, Adoquines de Banfield's Carlos Pierres made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godofredo Izotz was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Paulo Bertassi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Campanas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Orlan came free, but Godofredo Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Adoquines de Banfield would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
