In the 5th match minute, Fundicion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Rayman to maneuver through the defense. Celestino Basualdo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Perfecto, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Ricardo Mazuste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Fundicion FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Sixto Ferrando hit a great ball. Celestino Basualdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Iaki in the 13th minute of play. Celestino Basualdo came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Bañil FC's Urbano Palban. But to his dismay, Urbano Palban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fundicion FC's Celestino Basualdo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Perfecto in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Iaki in the 27th minute of play forced Fundicion FC's goalkeeper Celestino Basualdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Basualdo came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Bañil FC's Cayetano Perfecto. But to his dismay, Cayetano Perfecto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Celestino Basualdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Perfecto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Palban in the 32nd minute of play forced Fundicion FC's goalkeeper Celestino Basualdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Cayetano Perfecto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Celestino Basualdo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jairo Iban was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. Jairo Iban hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cayetano Perfecto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celestino Basualdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Perfecto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Urbano Palban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Basualdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cayetano Perfecto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Celestino Basualdo came out and tried to block the shot, but Cayetano Perfecto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Cayetano Perfecto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Bañil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cayetano Perfecto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Basualdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Eugenio Itzaina fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Bañil FC's protests and gave Eugenio Itzaina a yellow card for diving instead. Eugenio Itzaina hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Evaristo Rayman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eliseo Bartoleme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celestino Basualdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Perfecto in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Cayetano Perfecto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Celestino Basualdo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Real Bañil FC's Eduardo Iaki got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute of the match Silvio Frisco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eliseo Bartoleme skillfully saved the ball. Cayetano Perfecto hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 89 played minutes Fundicion FC got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Rayman. Cayetano Perfecto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 91st minute, Eduardo Iaki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celestino Basualdo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Cayetano Perfecto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Basualdo having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Fundicion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Mazuste to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Iaki was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 99th minute. Real Bañil FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Real Bañil FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
