Spectators: 6636 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1636, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gerardo Manex took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Corrientes FC booed when Pierini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Eusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Lohitzun did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Rafael Federigo 6 minutes into the match. Simon Osasun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Llorian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Llorian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Simon Osasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Efrain Lohitzun kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 14thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Pierini's keeper Rafael Federigo was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 16th match minute, Pierini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Lapurdi to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Corrientes FC's Alfonso Luar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 18 minutes of play, Pierini's Gerardo Manex made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Osasun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfonso Luar kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Godofredo Buinton sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Corrientes FC's Simon Osasun didn't even have to move. When Elvio Mogel fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pierini's protests and gave Elvio Mogel a yellow card for diving instead. Elvio Mogel kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Pierini's Isidro Llorian got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Isaias Santo fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corrientes FC's protests and gave Isaias Santo a yellow card for diving instead. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Corrientes FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Godofredo Buinton was slow to take the kick. During this time Pierini's players had a chance to rest. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Corrientes FC's Efrain Lohitzun got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 56 played minutes Pierini got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Eusko. Isidro Llorian might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simon Osasun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidro Llorian ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute, Pierini's Gerardo Manex ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Simon Osasun. Simon Osasun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. 68 minutes into the match, Corrientes FC's goalkeeper Simon Osasun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidro Llorian. With his leg Simon Osasun managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Pierini's Isidro Llorian fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Simon Osasun made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Isidro Llorian sent off a good shot on target. Gerardo Manex fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Osasun having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Corrientes FC's goalkeeper Simon Osasun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Lapurdi in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Osasun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88thth minute of the game Gerardo Manex who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corrientes FC's Simon Osasun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marco Mitxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Federigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Efrain Lohitzun's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Pierini's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
