The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Placido Eladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Jacindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Isaias Jacindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Eladio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Estrella Austral booed when Deportivo Rubio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Ursino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Deportivo Rubio were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Placido Eladio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
