The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Primitivo Opilano took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bernabe Platon to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Pere in the 9th minute of play forced Barreal FC's goalkeeper Lucas Ignazio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Lisandro Aztore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matii FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barreal FC the free kick. Lisandro Aztore kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the last second Bernabe Platon throw himself and got hold of the ball when Primitivo Opilano in the 14thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Primitivo Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Bernabe Platon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Primitivo Opilano in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernabe Platon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Colon in the 27th minute of play forced Matii FC's goalkeeper Bernabe Platon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Opilano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Pere came free, but Lucas Ignazio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Barreal FC's Bernabe Platon threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Primitivo Opilano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 39 minutes into the match, Matii FC's goalkeeper Bernabe Platon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaudencio Arias. Primitivo Opilano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Bernabe Platon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Matii FC's Luisito Pere got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Primitivo Opilano in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernabe Platon saved Matii FC from getting behind.

In the 52nd minute Luisito Pere suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Esteban Evarado's late challenge caught a Matii FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Evarado helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Barreal FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Matii FC:s goal. Aquiles Beat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Ignazio having to interfere. Bernabe Platon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Arias in the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Primitivo Opilano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barreal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Opilano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernabe Platon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Barreal FC's Lucas Ignazio got control of the ball when Aquiles Beat tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Aquiles Beat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaudencio Arias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernabe Platon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Barreal FC's Andres Balesio got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96thth minute of the game Primitivo Opilano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matii FC's Bernabe Platon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
