Rafael Berriotxoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Umea in the 14th minute of play. After 17th play minutes Elvio Umea shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Rafael Berriotxoa and just under the crossbar into goal. Emiliano Benvido charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Benvido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Atletico River Plate booed when ALMAFUERTE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Benvido didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Albano Guifre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juss Randveer during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Club Atletico River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Juss Randveer. Club Atletico River Plate's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Baldomiro Procopio scored to the left of an out of position Rafael Berriotxoa, making the score, 2-0. Rafael Berriotxoa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Lain in the 30th minute. Baldomiro Procopio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Berriotxoa having to interfere. Fausto Atarratze hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Elvio Umea in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rafael Berriotxoa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 35thth minute of the game Elvio Umea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico River Plate's Rafael Berriotxoa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Carmelo Oalo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ALMAFUERTE FC the free kick. In the 41st minute, ALMAFUERTE FC's Jonas Lain dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico River Plate's zone, Baldomiro Procopio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Berriotxoa came out of the goal and Baldomiro Procopio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Umea in the 47th minute of play forced Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper Rafael Berriotxoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Kevin Saxton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Quin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Berriotxoa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elvio Umea's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Nereo Martxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Elvio Umea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael Berriotxoa. Club Atletico River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elvio Umea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Carmelo Oalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Kevin Saxton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Umea in the 70th minute of play forced Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper Rafael Berriotxoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Lain struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Rafael Berriotxoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ALMAFUERTE FC. The attack was good, but when Elvio Umea in the 79th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 81st minute, Baldomiro Procopio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elvio Umea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 minutes of play, ALMAFUERTE FC's Elvio Umea made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Berriotxoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Elvio Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ALMAFUERTE FC had played much better football throughout.
