Gregorio Manny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Bastia having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Ernesto Blasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Rio Gallegos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Boca Rio Gallegos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Blasco to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Gar. 24 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Manny came free, but Ruperto Bastia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boca Rio Gallegos's Ernesto Blasco quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Silvio Gar, made in the 26th minute of the game. Godofredo Atarrabi kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Manny in the 37th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Ruperto Bastia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Gregorio Manny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Petri made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Boca Rio Gallegos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Manny to maneuver through the defense. In the 55thth minute of the game Sergio Petri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Rio Gallegos's Ciriaco Guifre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute, Leonel Teodor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palermo made a substitution. Lorenzo Sugar replaced Leonel Teodor. Sergio Petri kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Boca Rio Gallegos were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Palermo to leave the ground with a draw.
