After a rather tough play, Pineralitos FC's Agustin Kepa got a free kick in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Freddy Toribio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Social Merlo's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Toribio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Dalmau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agustin Kepa kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pineralitos FC's zone, Freddy Toribio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Dalmau came out of the goal and Freddy Toribio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Social Merlo's Benigno Ekhi got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddy Toribio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Bizi in the 56th minute of play forced Pineralitos FC's goalkeeper Cristian Dalmau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pineralitos FC's Cristian Dalmau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Toribio in the 58th minute of play. Cristian Dalmau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Toribio in the 61st minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Club Social Merlo's Braulio Bizi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Dalmau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santo Martino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Freddy Toribio came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Club Social Merlo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Toribio couldn't finish the play. If Braulio Bizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Raulo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
