After having played for 8 minutes, Ricardo Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ema fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Rosario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Clemente Dolcet came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Ema fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Dolcet couldn't finish the play. After 11 played minutes trapo got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Asur. Herminio Odol came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Ema fc's Hugo Min. But to his dismay, Hugo Min quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 18th minute, Ricardo Rosario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Rosario in the 20th minute of play forced trapo's goalkeeper Herminio Odol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Dolcet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Herminio Odol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, trapo's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Dolcet came free, but Herminio Odol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Oriol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Batista having to interfere. Ricardo Rosario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in trapo's zone, Ricardo Rosario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Odol came out of the goal and Ricardo Rosario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ema fc's Ricardo Rosario got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Rosario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Odol having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Damian Jerano managed to get in a good position for a shot. trapo's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Jerano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Batista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clemente Dolcet was the one to do the kick off. When Leonel Oriol came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the trapo fans jumped to their feet.
