Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paternal FC's Ruben Omero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Maura in the 7th minute of play forced Dolores's goalkeeper Denis Argi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Argi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Omero in the 8th minute of the match. Denis Argi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Omero, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some careless play in the Dolores defense, Ruben Omero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denis Argi. The Dolores fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Argi should have stopped the shot. Ruben Omero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Denis Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Maura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. After 43 minutes, Basilio Giro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dolores and the Paternal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Basilio Giro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 44 played minutes, Paternal FC's Celedonio Naldo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Denis Argi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paternal FC reached it. Ruben Omero struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Denis Argi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paternal FC. After the first half Paternal FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Filiberto Domeka made the kick off in the second half. Eustaquio Gorosti hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Aquilino Feo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Domeka in the 55th minute of play. Wilfredo Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro George got free with Denis Argi in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 65th minute of the match Basilio Giro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Basilio Giro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Paternal FC booed when Dolores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Giro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruben Omero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfredo Maura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Dolores's zone, Ruben Omero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denis Argi came out of the goal and Ruben Omero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Dolores's goalkeeper Denis Argi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lisandro George. Dolores's Denis Argi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Dolores from getting a goal against them. Ruben Omero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfredo Maura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Denis Argi made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Dolores's Eustaquio Gorosti got a free kick in the 91st minute. When Ruben Omero came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Paternal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Omero couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Wilfredo Maura could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Denis Argi however easily saved by the left post.
