The crowd rose to their feet as Braulio Lonzo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jeremias Santiago. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Madeo to make the kick off. Silvestre Madeo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sergio Iban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Madeo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Fabio Hulbertos short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Sergio Iban to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 96th minute Silvestre Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Iban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
