In the 14th minute of the match, Genaro Gizon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ruperto Dubardo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Chalicán AFC's Natalio Iruinea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustavo Gaspard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ruperto Dubardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Gizon, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
