Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Angelino Bautista got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Angelino Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelino Bautista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hector Urdin came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Palo's Zeledon Viator. But to his dismay, Zeledon Viator quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Bautista came free, but Hector Urdin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Bautista struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Hector Urdin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palo. After a rather tough play, Xeneizes's Eustacio Serapio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Xeneizes's zone, Angelino Bautista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Urdin came out of the goal and Angelino Bautista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Bautista came free, but Hector Urdin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Che in the 48th minute of play forced Palo's goalkeeper Santos Rafel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Che made a kick off. When Timoteo Ermano fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palo's protests and gave Timoteo Ermano a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Palo's Timoteo Ermano got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Palo's zone, Alfredo Che stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Rafel came out of the goal and Alfredo Che tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hector Urdin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Bautista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Jacindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Santos Rafel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Xeneizes's Mario Jacindo got a free kick in the 75th minute. Alfredo Che fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Rafel having to interfere. In the 80th minute Arsenio Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Rafel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, one of Palo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eustacio Serapio shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Santos Rafel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Che in the 91st minute of play. Angelino Bautista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Palo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Xeneizes.
