Baldomero Edwardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zacarias Pitin during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Patriotas del Cerro got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Pitin. Baldomero Edwardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Patriotas del Cerro's Erasmo Beliran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simon Hug narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Simon Hug was a little too slow when Erasmo Beliran got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Julian Gartzea made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Patriotas del Cerro's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Etxepare came free, but Aureliano Claude reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Iago hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When Patriotas del Cerro's Ovidio Sanson, in the 57th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. After 73 minutes of play, Espora's Baldomero Edwardo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Beliran in the 79th minute of play forced Espora's goalkeeper Simon Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Espora booed when Patriotas del Cerro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Cordaryal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Patriotas del Cerro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
