Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oscar Adrio started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Victorino Laurgain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ostendi's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorino Laurgain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Tavio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th minute, Ostendi's Delmar Iaki seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Delmar Iaki the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ostendi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Delmar Iaki had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Colegiales. Cirilo Mark stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Fernanco. 0-1. With a little luck, Colegiales's Zacarias Tavio got control of the ball when Silvio Guillen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pascual Quexal hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Nemesio Henrico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ostendi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Henrico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Jokin in the 22nd minute of the match. Silvio Guillen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nemesio Henrico during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ostendi getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Nemesio Henrico hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Rosio in the 31st minute of play forced Ostendi's goalkeeper Paulo Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Ferman hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Silvio Guillens short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Zacarias Tavio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Ostendi booed when Colegiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Cebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zacarias Tavio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvio Guillen in the 40th minute. Silvio Guillen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Zacarias Tavio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aquiles Jokin made a kick off. Colegiales's Ermegildo Rosio got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonzalo Cordarin's late challenge caught a Colegiales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Cordarin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Gonzalo Cordarin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Ostendi's Silvio Guillen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Tavio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 63 minutes, Gaspar Suero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colegiales and the Ostendi players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Colegiales getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gaspar Suero hit a great ball. In the 66th minute Silvio Guillen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Tavio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Colegiales's zone, Silvio Guillen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Tavio came out of the goal and Silvio Guillen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Silvio Guillen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ostendi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Guillen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aquiles Jokin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Fernanco was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Ermegildo Rosio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ermegildo Rosio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Silvio Guillen hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvio Guillen in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zacarias Tavio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute, Pascual Quexal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ostendi's Paulo Fernanco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Ostendi from getting a goal against them.
