A collision led to FACUFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ermegildo Nahia hit a great ball. Arnaldo Lluis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Jerold in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Salto FC's zone, Florentino Kelemen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Berasko came out of the goal and Florentino Kelemen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Albino Jakes fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salto FC's protests and gave Albino Jakes a yellow card for diving instead. Albino Jakes kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Salto FC's Camilo Berasko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Kelemen in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Leandro Jerold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Jerold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Lluis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arsenio Fonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Arnaldo Lluis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Salto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Kelemen came free, but Camilo Berasko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes, Ermegildo Nahia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FACUFC and the Salto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Camilo Berasko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ceferino Odol's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Florentino Kelemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Berasko having to interfere. Ermegildo Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th match minute, Salto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Canor to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute of the match FACUFC got a corner. Salto FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eustaquio Estevon ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FACUFC's Eustaquio Estevon to fire away a dangerous shot which Camilo Berasko despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Florentino Kelemen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Salto FC's Camilo Berasko. Camilo Berasko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arsenio Fonso to make the kick off. Camilo Berasko was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Florentino Kelemen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Arnaldo Lluis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Fonso in the 56th minute of play. If Ceferino Odol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florentino Kelemen took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Berasko. Camilo Berasko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The audience was convinced that Ceferino Odol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Berasko was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Florentino Kelemen hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Ceferino Odol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Flavio Oton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceferino Odol in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Camilo Berasko, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ermegildo Nahia hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 89 minutes of play, FACUFC's Florentino Kelemen made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Berasko was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ceferino Odol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Camilo Berasko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
