In a very dangerous position, a player in Calafate FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Sunchal. Carlos Artizar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Venancio Elazar. 0-3. In the 19th minute Hugo Corderall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Elazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bonifacio Romelio took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Venancio Elazar. Venancio Elazar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Hugo Corderall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Venancio Elazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sunchal getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jorge Vito hit a great ball. Bonifacio Romelio struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Venancio Elazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sunchal. Calafate FC's Venancio Elazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Corderall in the 32nd minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Hugo Corderall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Venancio Elazar. Calafate FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Corderall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Venancio Elazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hugo Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgilio Benino was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Bonifacio Romelio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 55 minutes into the match, Sunchal's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Luke came free, but Matias Hondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bonifacio Romelio might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Venancio Elazar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bonifacio Romelio ran back to his position shaking his head. Venancio Elazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Corderall in the 61st minute of play. Calafate FC's Venancio Elazar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Calafate FC from getting a goal against them. Bonifacio Romelio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Venancio Elazar made a huge save. In the 69th minute, Hugo Corderall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hugo Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Venancio Elazar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ceferino Herensuge during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Calafate FC booed when Sunchal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Herensuge didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sunchal's zone, Dante Luke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Hondo came out of the goal and Dante Luke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bonifacio Romelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bonifacio Romelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Elazar having to interfere.
