The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rosendo Gasteiz was a little too slow when Benito Sotero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. The Colelache fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Colelache's Zeledon Piearres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 18 played minutes Cefalier F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Semeno. Horacio Rico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cefalier F.C.'s Alejandro Dolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Rico in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Horacio Rico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horacio Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Dolfo having to interfere. Alejandro Dolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Piearres in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When Ubaldo Marcones fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colelache's protests and gave Ubaldo Marcones a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cefalier F.C. booed when Colelache was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Marcones didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Ignatius during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cefalier F.C.'s Casimiro Ignatius got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Zeledon Piearres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alejandro Dolfo came out and tried to block the shot, but Zeledon Piearres slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 57th minute. Zeledon Piearres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Alejandro Dolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cecilio Bertol charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Bertol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th match minute, Cefalier F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Bertol to maneuver through the defense. Alejandro Dolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Piearres in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Horacio Rico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alejandro Dolfo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 82nd minute, Cecilio Bertol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Lixandro in the 86th minute of play forced Colelache's goalkeeper Rosendo Gasteiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Lixandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rosendo Gasteiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sotero scored 2-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rosendo Gasteiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colelache had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
