Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carlos Pero kicked off to start the match. Aristides Thomas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Roland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Roland in the 4th minute of play forced Cardenales Tucumán RC's goalkeeper Aristides Thomas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Carlos Pero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cardenales Tucumán RC's Aristides Thomas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Roland in the 11th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Cardenales Tucumán RC's Aurelio Elixio threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cesar Vitin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 14 played minutes Cardenales Tucumán RC got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Calvet. In the 17th minute, Octavio Roano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cesar Vitin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Cesar Vitin put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Aurelio Elixio. The supporters of Cardenales Tucumán RC booed when La Furia Celeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Frechoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Pero got free with Aurelio Elixio in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ramiro Roland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes La Furia Celeste got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Fidensio. In the 34thth minute of the game Ramiro Roland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cardenales Tucumán RC's Aristides Thomas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aurelio Elixio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Vitin in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, La Furia Celeste's goalkeeper Aurelio Elixio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Pero. The supporters of Cardenales Tucumán RC booed when La Furia Celeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Frechoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro Roland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Octavio Roano came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the La Furia Celeste fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Roano couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octavio Roano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Octavio Roano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristides Thomas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Cardenales Tucumán RC's Aristides Thomas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Roano in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Vitin in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Elixio saved La Furia Celeste from getting behind. Cardenales Tucumán RC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Ramiro Roland scored to the left of an out of position Aristides Thomas, making the score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Cesar Vitin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardenales Tucumán RC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Vitin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Elixio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Pero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Elixio having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Desiderio Frechoso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aristides Thomas, 1-2. After a rather tough play, La Furia Celeste's Octavio Roano got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute Carlos Pero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Elixio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesar Vitin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oscar Baudelio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aurelio Elixio. La Furia Celeste's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Pero in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Elixio saved La Furia Celeste from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Ramiro Roland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aristides Thomas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3.
