The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aristides Thomas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Corderro in the 12th minute. Carlos Pero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute Carlos Pero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Telo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cardenales Tucumán RC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Oscar Baudelio hit a great ball. Aristides Thomas made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Martin Corderro sent off a good shot on target. Martin Corderro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Aristides Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aristides Thomas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Dominguez in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Dominguez to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Cardenales Tucumán RC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Corderro came free, but Aristides Thomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute Rene Dominguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aristides Thomas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Dominguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Domingo Telo made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Carlos Pero sent off a good shot on target. Aristides Thomas came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Manguaré's Martin Corderro. But to his dismay, Martin Corderro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 79 minutes into the match, Manguaré's goalkeeper Domingo Telo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Pero. If Cesar Vitin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Pero might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingo Telo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Pero ran back to his position shaking his head. Manguaré's Domingo Telo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Manguaré from getting a goal against them. Martin Corderro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Aristides Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Manguaré support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
