The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the game, RACING CLUB's Sebastian Espiridion nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 15thth minute of the game Godfredo Peyo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arocena's Jesus Balasi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute Godfredo Peyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Balasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Godfredo Peyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jesus Balasi was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. With 19 minutes on the clock, Abel Leobardo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Jorge Arotza kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Godfredo Peyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Balasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Espiridion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesus Balasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Peyo in the 36th minute of play. Godfredo Peyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesus Balasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Peyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Godfredo Peyo to make the kick off. Tadeo Ariando kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Sebastian Espiridion recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jesus Balasi. Sebastian Espiridion showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Saturnino Fero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Gavino Matia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Espiridion struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Jesus Balasi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RACING CLUB. The audience was convinced that Saturnino Fero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavino Matia was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Arocena's Jeronimo Caetano got a free kick in the 90th minute. Godfredo Peyo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesus Balasi having to make a save. Arocena's Saturnino Fero got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
