Spectators: 6666 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aldo Intxixu took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Aldo Intxixu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ciénaga booed when Los Pibes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Suero didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eloy Gaizko came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Ciénaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Gaizko couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute Patricio Ignazio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Frechoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Goyo during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauro Goyo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Aldo Intxixu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Pierres having to interfere. Angelo Frechoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eloy Gaizko went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Los Pibes FC's Angelo Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Ignazio in the 41st minute of play. Fulgencio Pierres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Salvator in the 44th minute. Patricio Ignazio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th match minute, Los Pibes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Suero to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute Eloy Gaizko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Frechoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Fulgencio Pierres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Salvator in the 56th minute of play. If Domingos Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Domingos Abeijon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Pierres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Patricio Ignazio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciénaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Ignazio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Ignazio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Angelo Frechoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Salvator in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulgencio Pierres saved Ciénaga from getting behind. In the 96th minute Lázaro Salvator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Pierres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciénaga's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
