After 13 played minutes Arocena got a freekick which was hit by Christian Virila. With a little luck, Los Pibes FC's Angelo Frechoso got control of the ball when Saturnino Fero tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Los Pibes FC's Lázaro Salvator sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jesus Balasi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lázaro Salvator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jesus Balasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldo Intxixu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesus Balasi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Lázaro Salvator sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldo Intxixu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Balasi having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aldo Intxixu to strike the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Aldo Intxixu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Domingos Abeijon fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Pibes FC's protests and gave Domingos Abeijon a yellow card for diving instead. Domingos Abeijon hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Nereo Aurre sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Los Pibes FC's Angelo Frechoso didn't even have to move. Angelo Frechoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saturnino Fero's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Saturnino Fero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arocena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Saturnino Fero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90thth minute of the game Saturnino Fero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Pibes FC's Angelo Frechoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Los Pibes FC's Fulgencio Suero got a free kick in the 91st minute. Los Pibes FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
