Joel Brais made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Nastasio in the 12th minute. Gustavo Cordairo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carolo Jakobe's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Edelmiro Txurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Cordairo having to interfere. Salvador Justin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. Victoria's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Maximino Nastasio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Joel Brais made a huge save. racing clab's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Salvador Justin scored to the left of an out of position Joel Brais, making the score, 1-0. After 30 minutes, Sebastian Hodei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the racing clab and the Victoria players grew even worse after the yellow card. racing clab's Joel Brais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save racing clab from getting a goal against them. Gustavo Cordairo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Txurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Godfredo Isias kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Justin in the 48th minute of play forced racing clab's goalkeeper Joel Brais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Txurio got free with Gustavo Cordairo in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in racing clab's zone, Maximino Nastasio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Brais came out of the goal and Maximino Nastasio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Cordairo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximino Nastasio in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Brais saved racing clab from getting behind. Benigno Tome hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
