In the 20th minute Ruben Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atilano Hartz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natalio Liher in the 22nd minute. If Ruben Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Unión 1907's Serafin Kismi got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Pinto in the 52nd minute of play forced Timon's goalkeeper Atilano Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Natalio Liher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unión 1907's supporters rose to their feet, but Natalio Liher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atilano Hartz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute, Natalio Liher made a precise shot to the right of Atilano Hartz. Timon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Natalio Liher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Atilano Hartz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atilano Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Pinto in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, Unión 1907's Saul Pirmin got control of the ball when Celso Santxol tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Natalio Liher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unión 1907's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
