Natalio Liher took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelio Arotza. Aurelio Arotza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Apolo Chaime kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Ruben Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Arotza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 minutes, Serafin Kismi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unión 1907 and the boca juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 36 minutes, Natalio Liher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unión 1907's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natalio Liher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, boca juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Pinto came free, but Aurelio Arotza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Unión 1907 getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Blas Breogan hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Felipe Jacob's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saul Pirmin was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natalio Liher in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Arotza prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Ruben Pinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurelio Arotza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruben Pinto ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of boca juniors booed when Unión 1907 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Atarrabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute Ruben Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Arotza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafin Kismi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Hugo Atarrabi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Micael in the 79th minute of play forced Unión 1907's goalkeeper Saul Pirmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Breogan kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. When Javier Henric came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the boca juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Henric couldn't finish the play. Saul Pirmin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Jacob went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 89th minute, but Aurelio Arotza got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving boca juniors hanging dry this time. Natalio Liher who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Aurelio Arotza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Unión 1907 were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing boca juniors to leave the ground with a draw.
