After 18 minutes, Serafin Kismi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unión 1907 and the Team Austral players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Unión 1907 got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Kismi. 19 minutes into the match, Team Austral's Christian Lehoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saul Pirmin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Saul Pirmin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Maxin, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Christian Lehoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasmo Hodei's late challenge caught a Unión 1907's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorino Maxin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Saul Pirmin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natalio Liher made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Narciso Eli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Team Austral's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unión 1907 the free kick. Adrian Manilan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folker Daalmeyer having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Christian Lehoi could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Saul Pirmin however easily saved by the left post. If Natalio Liher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Maxin in the 87th minute of play forced Unión 1907's goalkeeper Saul Pirmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Lehoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Victorino Maxin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team Austral's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Maxin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Team Austral eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
