After having played for 19 minutes, Rigoberto Guipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 21 minutes, Victor Chus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportivo Leoni and the Ibarreta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leon Elivareo's late challenge caught a Club Deportivo Leoni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Elivareo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Club Deportivo Leoni booed when Ibarreta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Elivareo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Bernabe Crispo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cornelio Cordearo came out of the goal and Christian Hats tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Presebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Hats in the 61st minute of the match. Leon Elivareo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cornelio Cordearo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
