An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Selmo in the 9th minute of play forced Patagones Rex FC's goalkeeper Joel Sabino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Sabino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Telesforo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Bernabe Selmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Joel Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Matias Flores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Aresti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bernabe Selmo came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ibicuy AFC fans jumped to their feet. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Patagones Rex FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Matias Flores hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernabe Selmo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Sabino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute of the match, Bernabe Selmo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joel Sabino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 83rd minute, Atilano Telesforo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibicuy AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Joel Sabino was a little too slow when Bernabe Selmo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-2. Bernabe Selmo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Sabino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play.
