Humberto Tirso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Benigno Argina made a huge save. Humberto Tirso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Solustiano in the 37th minute of play forced RIVER PLATE FC's goalkeeper Cesar Sabino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Eguerdis short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Benigno Argina to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evaristo Solustiano was the one to do the kick off. Benigno Argina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Veto in the 56th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes FC Bayern München got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Bikendi. Humberto Tirso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE FC's Cecilio Veto got a free kick in the 64th minute. Humberto Tirso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Argina having to interfere. In the 74th minute Humberto Tirso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Argina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Bayern München getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ovidio Mincho hit a great ball. Cesar Sabino was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Felix Domingues. After 84 played minutes FC Bayern München got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Matei. After a rather tough play, FC Bayern München's Ovidio Mincho got a free kick in the 85th minute. Evaristo Solustiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to RIVER PLATE FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Felix Fidencio hit a great ball. Baltasar Ourente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Cesar Sabino made a huge save. RIVER PLATE FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
