Benicio Serafo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Macerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Katia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Lauren in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, El Riquito's Roberto Ubendu got a free kick in the 10th minute. Simon Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Lauren in the 14th minute of the match. Batea FC's Simon Katia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Lauren in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Aragones notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Batea FC's Simon Katia. Simon Katia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Higinio Lauren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Katia having to interfere. Victorio Llorenc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benicio Serafo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Macerio in the 29th minute of the match. Evelio Macerio might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benicio Serafo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evelio Macerio ran back to his position shaking his head. Benicio Serafo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evelio Macerio's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Batea FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gavino Romelio hit a great ball. In the 40th minute Ermegildo Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Katia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Victorio Llorenc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batea FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorio Llorenc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Serafo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Batea FC's Evelio Macerio in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Riquito's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Ermegildo Aragones made the kick off in the second half. Benicio Serafo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Macerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The Batea FC fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Batea FC's Victorio Llorenc looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 59 minutes, Ermegildo Aragones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Riquito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Aragones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, El Riquito's Carmelo Ponce got a free kick in the 61st minute. If Evelio Macerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benicio Serafo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Macerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Victorio Llorenc took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Serafo. Benicio Serafo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in El Riquito's zone, Evelio Macerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benicio Serafo came out of the goal and Evelio Macerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Victorio Llorenc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Riquito's Benicio Serafo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Batea FC booed when El Riquito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Ponce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorio Llorenc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, El Riquito's Simon Katia threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ermegildo Aragones, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Evelio Macerio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batea FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Evelio Macerio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Serafo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 87 minutes, Higinio Lauren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Riquito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Higinio Lauren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Riquito players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Batea FC.
