In a very dangerous position, a player in Picapiedras F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! A collision led to Picapiedras F.C. getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gilberto Luar hit a great ball. Asturias's Celedonio Osasun got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th match minute, Asturias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Ioritz to maneuver through the defense. Asturias's Lázaro Ignatius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Asturias from getting a goal against them. If Evaristo Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Sabin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Joel Intxixu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Ignatius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asturias's Lázaro Ignatius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Asturias from getting a goal against them. Lázaro Ignatius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Intxixu in the 36th minute of the match. Evaristo Sabin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Asturias's Celedonio Osasun got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, Picapiedras F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Luar to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Intxixu to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Picapiedras F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Osasun came free, but Marcelino Banegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Asturias's Mateo Mincho in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Picapiedras F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Asturias were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Picapiedras F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Remigio Tiso took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Remigio Tiso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelino Banegas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 65th minute, Joel Intxixu made a precise shot to the right of Lázaro Ignatius. Asturias's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Lázaro Ignatius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Sabin went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Asturias getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Esteve Maurin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Asturias's Edgardo Ioritz got a free kick in the 78th minute. Lázaro Ignatius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Sabin in the 79th minute of play. If Celedonio Osasun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Celedonio Osasun came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Asturias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Osasun couldn't finish the play. The Asturias fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Asturias's Celedonio Osasun looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mateo Mincho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cirilo Luzaide kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
