Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anacleto Merexildo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Urbano Fernanco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres's zone, Nunez Etor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Pero came out of the goal and Nunez Etor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nunez Etor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Mauro Pero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nunez Etor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anacleto Merexildo struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Urbano Fernanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talleres. After having played for 26 minutes, Cleto Miro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAN MARTIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleto Miro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute Nunez Etor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Pero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Locaio hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, SAN MARTIN's Pastor Ignazio tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 36th match minute, SAN MARTIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Etor to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Locaio hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Anacleto Merexildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Pero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Etor in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nunez Etor to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, SAN MARTIN's Cayetano Sidoro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Mauro Pero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleto Miro in the 63rd minute. Cleto Miro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Mauro Pero made a huge save. Mauro Pero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Etor in the 79th minute of play. Urbano Fernanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Maju in the 83rd minute of play. When Froilan Millano fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talleres's protests and gave Froilan Millano a yellow card for diving instead. 92 minutes into the game, one of Talleres:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Mauro Pero, was totally fooled by SAN MARTIN's Pastor Ignazio, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the final whistle sounded SAN MARTIN left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Talleres.
