Hernandarias
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcelino Aztore took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ciriaco Fernado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uriel Etxahun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Godofredo Ihazintu made a huge save. In the 12th match minute, Hernandarias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicasio Gizon to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Pascual Ipar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Tomi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernandarias's Sergio Tomi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Ipar in the 16th minute of play. When Edgardo Eder fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hernandarias's protests and gave Edgardo Eder a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Edgardo Eder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Alfonso Abilio in the 18th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Sergio Tomi's left hand side. Uriel Etxahun struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Godofredo Ihazintu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hernandarias. The crowd rose to their feet as Hernandarias's Ciriaco Fernado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Godofredo Ihazintu. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. Sergio Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Montxo in the 28th minute of play. Ciriaco Fernado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uriel Etxahun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Godofredo Ihazintu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Godofredo Ihazintu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 38th match minute, Club Atlético Guantánamo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Veremundo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Club Atlético Guantánamo booed when Hernandarias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Fernado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damaso Playo during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute of the match Club Atlético Guantánamo got a corner. Hernandarias's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Higinio Isadore ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Higinio Isadore got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sergio Tomi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sergio Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Aztore in the 45th minute of play. Pastor Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sergio Tomi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciriaco Fernado made a kick off. Enrique Montxo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ciriaco Fernado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Ihazintu having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Club Atlético Guantánamo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Veremundo to maneuver through the defense. Uriel Etxahun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Godofredo Ihazintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Guantánamo's zone, Uriel Etxahun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godofredo Ihazintu came out of the goal and Uriel Etxahun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciriaco Fernado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th match minute, Hernandarias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Playo to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Marcelino Aztore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Uriel Etxahun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 minutes, Marcelino Aztore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Guantánamo and the Hernandarias players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Atlético Guantánamo getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Marcelino Aztore hit a great ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Uriel Etxahun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hernandarias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uriel Etxahun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godofredo Ihazintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Fernado in the 90th minute of play. Pascual Ipar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sergio Tomi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernandarias's Sergio Tomi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Hernandarias from getting a goal against them. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hernandarias had played much better football throughout.
